Our Pledge to Give Back via Energy Efficiency Projects

At greeNEWit, we pledge to give back to community-oriented initiatives that surround energy education. The greeNEWit $1 Pledge Program fosters environmental stewardship and allows us to fund our social goodwill programs via energy efficiency projects.

In partnership with the Multi-Family Quick Home Energy Checkup (QHEC) Program, we provide energy upgrades to residential and multi-family homes. A QHEC is an effective way to significantly reduce home energy consumption while improving indoor comfort - all at no additional cost to the monthly utility bills of tenants and owners.

For each QHEC completed, we donate $1 to the greeNEWit OUR Schools Program. Through this social responsibility initiative, we are able to give energizing presentations at public schools to educate elementary school students on the importance of sustainability and reducing energy consumption. We spread OUR message of ownership, understanding and responsibility with regards to our future global energy and resources situation.

Since this concept was initiated, we have reached more than 1,000 youth at schools in both Howard and Baltimore County and raised money for extracurricular environmental clubs, school building upgrades, environmental field trips and other energy efficient causes.
