COLUMBIA, MD – greeNEWit and Fuel Fund of Maryland have entered into a partnership that will help bring affordable energy to Maryland residents. With two different service offerings and a common commitment to helping citizens reduce their energy use and lower monthly bills, their combined efforts will help spread the message of sustainability and energy conservation. The two are joining forces to help educate residents on simple ways to engage in sustainable, energy saving practices, including no or low cost programs available in Maryland.

Specifically, Fuel Fund of Maryland helps provide affordable energy to families who struggle to meet their everyday heat and home utility needs. To increase their reach to Maryland families in need, the company is raising awareness and support through a campaign called Share the Power that will take place during the month of February. This campaign requires individuals and teams to raise money for Fuel Fund of Maryland by pledging to spend a certain amount of hours using no power and collecting money for completing their goal. greeNEWit is creating a team to rally support for the effort and will also have an information table at upcoming Share the Power events to help people connect to more energy saving resources.

In addition to providing energy and water saving upgrades to homeowners, renters and businesses, greeNEWit shares do-it-yourself tips on how to decrease energy consumption and explains how energy works in the home.
