Looking to take on a quick weekend project that will save you money every month and make you fell more comfortable inside your home?  Well we have just the project for you. Its the latest 3rd generation of Nest the learning thermostat.  Smart thermostats have been around for a while now but there is something about Nest that just stands out. Maybe its the sleek design, or maybe its the fact that is has been purchased by Google in the recent years and getting a considerable hype from its giant partner.  But in reality the Nest is way more then just the best looking smart thermostat out there. It will actually save you a considerable amount of money!

That's why I have decided to create a simple video that will guide you through the installation of this learning thermostat as well as the initial set up so you can start saving money asap.  Another thing to consider is that the winter is approaching and if you live in Maryland like I do, I am sure you remember how cold it was last year and the experts are predicting an even colder winter this year.  Since heating and cooling our homes amounts to about 70% of our energy usage, the Nest learning thermostat technology can actually put a decent dent of savings into that number.  A lot of research on the web, and user reviews show that you can save enough to pay for this product within 1.5 to 2 years, so if that's the case anything that will pay for it self within 2 years is a sound investment. If if you are one of those homeowners that still haven't done anything to your home that will help you reduce the amount of energy you use, I would get off my butt this weekend, run to your nearest Best Buy and take on this simple money saving project.

I don't want to bore you with more text to read so just go ahead and check out the video below that shows you how to install this product and set it up. If you have any questions or get stuck with your particular system be sure to leave a comment on our greeNEWit YouTube channel or in this blog post and I will do my best to help you out.
