greeNEWit Delivers Value-Creation Ignite Presentation at the MAXIMIZE

October 6, 2015 Written by  Comments Print

AMELIA ISLAND, FL — Julie Roby, director of residential energy solutions at greeNEWit, a firm driving sustainable community development, delivers a closing Ignite presentation at the MAXIMIZE: 2015 Multifamily Asset Management Conference on October 14, 2015.

This year’s program, taking place in Amelia Island, Florida, will address current issues and challenges, while also looking ahead to the next wave of solutions, relevant to multifamily asset managers charged with creating value for multifamily owners, managers and investors.

Ignite is a style of presentation where participants are given ten minutes to speak on a subject accompanied by 10 slides. Each slide is displayed for 60 seconds and slides are automatically advanced. The first Ignite was held in 2006 in Seattle, Washington and was sponsored by O'Reilly Media and MAKE magazine.

TRoby was invited to speak because of where greeNEWit sits at the forefront of driving innovation and behavioral change as it relates to sustainable energy usage. As an operational expert, her Ignite presentation will introduce new technology that can be installed in multifamily assets and connected to the electric grid and used to help create smart grids and/or microgrids. This new technology is referred to as “grid-interactive” and is revenue producing. A repeat panelist, she spoke on using energy efficiency to increase net operating income last year at the MAXIMIZE Conference.

Other speakers include: Scott Wilkerson, chief investment officer of Ginko Residential, Alex Kaffka, senior VP of energy and solar of Allana Buick & Bers, Rudy Garcia, VP of sales & marketing of Verdek LLC, and Sce Pike, CEO and president of IOTAS.

At greeNEWit, Roby manages the implementation of greeNEWit’s residential energy solutions that include the Single Family and Multifamily Quick Home Energy Check-up Programs and Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Energy Audits. In addition, she oversees the customer service aspect of the business.
