Date: April 12, 2013Service: On April 12, 2013, greeNEWit serviced the home of Michael and Hilary Becker with a Quick Home Energy Check-up. As part of the Empower Maryland Energy Efficiency Act of 2008, the Beckers were able to get energy-efficient products installed in their home at no additional cost to their regular utility bill. They received nearly $200 worth of products and with greeNEWit, his installation was free. Through the service, they received 12 CFLs, four faucet aerators, 12 counts of pipe insulation and two showerheads. As a result, theyíll save 2,250 pounds of CO2 a year, the equivalent to 5.5 trees being planted.
